Celtic Promise, 500g, whole wheel
A fascinating cheese, winner of bronze at the British Cheese Awards. This is a cider-washed rind cheese, unpasteurised, with a pungent aroma but a soft piquant flavour. The rind is orangery red and the cheese itself a rich yellow. Made with vegetable rennet it is also vegetarian. Goes extremely well with real ale or cider.
