Whole caraway seeds, 500g
Caraway is a seed packed with essential oils that aid and stimulate digestion. Delicious in both savoury and sweet dishes. Stir fry with red cabbage, add 1tbsp to Victoria sponge mix to make seed cake, an old fashioned favourite. Many think it essential in a rye loaf; just add 2tbsp at the kneading stage.
It goes very will in marinades for smoked salmon, combined with dill seeds and 2 drops Boyajian lime oil, 3tbsp lemon juice, and black pepper. Stir the ingredients together, drizzle over folded slices of smoked salmon and serve immediately.
