Black tiger prawns, peeled, raw, frozen, 1Kg
Outstanding quality and freshness make these peeled black tiger prawns a delight to cook with. The firm sweet flesh with its distinctive silver tracery becomes a succulent orange-tinged when stir- fried. Stunning when simply dipped into a tempura batter and deep-fried for two minutes.
Recipe for tempura batter
100g plain flour
50g cornflour
1 egg and 1 egg yolk, beaten
100ml iced water
Combine the two flours, beat the ice water into the egg mix, quickly stir the flours into the egg/water mix. Just stir the mixture for a short time, it is normal for the batter to have lumps and clumps. (Needs to be ordered 24 hours before delivery day)
